About the brand
The Shoreline Leather name stems from a historical landmark near my home. Lake Bonneville was a large lake that spanned across the state of Utah covering it with water. It has since dried up but you can still see where the water weathered a perfect shoreline into the beautiful mountains in my backyard. You can see on the Shoreline leather logo it looks like the mountains are sticking out of the water but it is actually mountains that have been imprinted with were the water has been. It is all about leaving your mark in a way that make an impact to the world around us.
About Me as a Leather Crafter
My Journey as a leather crafter has been unexpected, I woke up one morning with no experience and I wanted to make a seat for my scooter (a scooter I know, I know… but it is actually pretty cool. Google a Metruck and thank me later). I bought an assortment of basic tools an few square feet of leather. Was I in over my head? Absolutely. Did I make a lot of mistakes? More than I’d like to admit, but each mistake was an opportunity to learn the trade. Now with all these new tools I couldn’t just let them sit around right? So with that being said I kept buying more leather and making more projects including wallets, purses and bags until I reached the point where you see me now.
